Hot Chocolate...YUMM!

I wanted to update you on my goals last week. I actually don't remember what they are; BUT, I do remember that i was going to clean my room, and it was mostly a success. I went to bed a little after 1 AM on Friday night. We still had a couple loads of laundry to finish, but we accomplished SO much. I say "we" as though my sister did a ton, when in fact, I proudly did a lot before she got home from work. :D She did help, though.
This year has been weird in the fact that: I've been listening to Christmas Music and enjoying it, I'm genuinely excited for Christmas in general, I've come to appreciate my family more, and last but not least- I've become addicted to hot chocolate!
I have sent myself on a quest to find GOOD hot chocolate, and it has not been easy! Every couple of days I stop at a different gas station, hoping for something good. In high school we always went to SAGS on Main street in Spanish Fork, but when i returned there this year, I was highly disappointed. Today was more successful than most. I hit up Conoco on Orem Center Street, and to my surprise, they had 3 flavors! White Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, and Milk Chocolate. WOWSIES! I went for the mint. It was the best yet! I shall of course try all 3 flavors this season. (and yes, i had to change the colors of the whole post so that i could have white chocolate be the only white lettering. Thanks for asking. :D ) We might just have a new favorite gas station! Lets not jump the gun, though. ;) There are still hundreds more i can try before winter is over! HALA! If any of you have favorite places to get hot chocolate, i would love to hear them! Preferably gas stations, because it's easily accessible.

Goals For The Week

I decided to make a list of goals this week. I thought that if I posted them on my blog, it would make it slightly more official than thinking them all in my head.

  • Goal #1: Math takes first priority everyday. Complete each assignment, and turn them in on time. I don't have a huge problem with this one. I am actually pretty good at doing that as it is. But if i make it a goal, and nothing else gets done, then I'll still feel a little more productive.

  • Goal #2: Do ANYTHING in German. As I am right now, a little will go a long way. I am so horrible at getting my German homework done. Today I totally bombed the speaking part of the test. Ah! I think I need to ground myself.

  • Goal #3: Walk 10,000 steps a day. This is part of the wellness challenge my work is doing. I am on a team, so I can't let them down! Now for some of you, you may think: this is crazy, i walk twice this far everyday. I do not. I walk a third of this a day. And that is stretching it! So, I will have to start parking further away, and going for walks and jogs. It will be good for me. Having a little more motivation to get into shape.

  • Goal #4: This may sound ridiculous, but: clean my room. It's a disaster! On Friday, my sister and brother-in-law are flying into town and taking over my sister's room. This means that for a little over a week, my sister will be stationed in my room... there shall be 3 of us! Now this was okay when we were all younger and had a tenth of the amount of clothes. But my younger sister and I share a room, and there is not enough space for us! I have things in boxes, and our clothes are everywhere! The closet is too small, and our dressers don't hold all of our clothes. So when we wash all of them, they get put in laundry baskets (because there's no where else to put them) and as we wear things everything gets mixed up... it's a nightmare! I literally dig through my clothes to find things. I know, it's revolting, but what do you do when you both don't fit in a room? Now I know what you're thinking again... Move out? yes, this might be a good alternative to my problems, but I am a little of a money hog. I don't want to go back to being moneyless. So here I stay, for now. And the room WILL get cleaned!
So wish me luck on my goals! I know it's not very many. Like 4? but it seriously will take a lot of work and a lot of my time! Have a great day!!

Me? Cook?

Wahaaa! Last night was the most fun I've had in a long time! I got to go to dinner with my cousin, who lives out of town and then met up with my sister and our friend. By the time it hit 11 we were all tired (11 is the time I am normally in bed every night). As we were half asleep we decided we should have a sleepover! So, at 12:30, we headed to Wal-Mart. We were all just crazy tired and wandered around burying our arms in treats. We returned back to my house and it was close to 2. (not quite sure how it took us so long to shop. It really doesn't make any sense.) We then turned on She's The Man, and lasted about 40 minutes watching it before we fell asleep on the mattresses we placed next to the fireplace. It was SO fun! Especially since we were all completely loopy!

Today was supposed to be my homework day, but it didn't turn out that way. Break the Fast is tomorrow, and as the co-chair of the activities committee, we prepare a meal for the singles ward after church. Well it was decided that we were doing breakfast casserole, and as a picky person, I decided to make it today for my family, before trying out the recipe on the whole ward. It seems to work. Doesn't make as much as it claims, so I'm glad I tried it out beforehand. And may I just say: I am so proud of myself! I absolutely hate cooking. Although I guess I'm okay at it, I just don't like wasting my time on it. But today, I made a casserole. Gold star for me! I did something new!

Throwin' off the routine.

Well the last couple days have been entertaining! Last night as I was invading my parents room and begging my dad to build a fire in the fire place, I decided I was hungry. Well my parents didn't seem to care that much. I suddenly burst with: "I have pizza dough! Just add water!" My mom responded that it might be a good idea. My dad chimed in with: "I have hamburger." So I had my mom put together the dough, my dad made the hamburger, and I sliced olives. A few minutes later, my brother came home with peperoni to put on our pizza, and as we were so excited to put it all together, my sister and I realized that we didn't have any sauce to put on the pizza. Only a small can of tomato sauce. After thinking for a time, we busted out the tomato soup and mixed it with the little bit of tomato sauce and threw in some spices, and put together our pizzas. To our surprise, it was actually delicious!! for .47 cent dough that you just add water to, it was way good! Props to them! (the sauce wasn't bad, either!)

Blond moment of the day: Walk to my car, get in, turn the key... won't start. Won't even try to start. Battery? Not dead... hmm... thoughts: "dangit. I'm already late." (and yet, too tired to freak out.) Walk back in the house, get dad. Walk back out, open hood, jiggle battery...still won't start. Wait for dad to change his clothes... dad walks out, sits in car. Hear a *click*, dad turns key, car starts. Only response from dad as he walks inside: "Your car has to be in park for it to start." Hmmmm.... my bad!

So German is probably the most entertaining class I have ever taken! Especially with the people that are in it! So we all get along pretty well in the class, and have actually talked about having German parties together. (don't know if that would really ever happen.) So there are about 10-15 of us that always sit in the same seats, squished into the right 3 rows in the classroom and like 3-5 people on the other side of the classroom by themselves. Our professor usually just talks to us on the right side of the room. Well today we decided to switch it up. We all stayed in order and moved all the way to the left. It was hilarious! The professor walked in and hardly knew what to do. We were all just laughing, and everyone else who walked in had the face like: "Dude, you guys all just totally ruined my WHOLE day. What have you done?!" It made my day that much better!

My first personal blogging experience :)

Welcome to my very first blog! This is all very exciting! Although, I'm not quite sure what I'm going to write about, because my life is kinda dull right now. Just full of school and work. Hopefully I can also figure this out a little more so I can make it worth your while to navigate here. Not a lot is going on today. I went to school and took a math test, then proceeded to a very awkward day of German. (As most German days are, because I can't understand what is going on in the class). One exciting thing today: Toy Story 3 came out on video! Can you believe that I haven't even seen it yet? I bought it today to surprise my dad. He wants it SO bad. He better be excited. I cannot wait to see it! I also bought Halloween brownies. Being it 2 days after Halloween, they were 50% off! I don't like cooking much, but I'll manage it for a simple brownie!
I must now be off. I'm sure my first few posts will be awkward like this one... not sure what to say, and just- out there. Well, have a fabulous day!
